Teaching Experience:

I have a background in corporate communications and retrained as a teacher nearly ten years ago. Since then I have taught EFL, public speaking and presentation skills, as well as my specialism: pronunciation (otherwise known as elocution or accent reduction) to people from all over the world, in addition to native speakers.

Teaching Approach:

My approach to coaching clients (whether non-native or native speakers of English) is the articulatory or 'discovery' approach. Pronunciation is a physical skill, rather than an intellectual one, and it is only through understanding how sounds are created, that you can change the way you speak.

I also offer coaching in presentation skills and public speaking, including the LAMDA exams in 'Speaking in Public'.
