Hi and thanks for stopping by my name’s Vanessa I enjoy the creative aspect that comes with developing media products as well as helping young people realise their own creativity. Whilst at university I studied broadcast media and communication where I developed my understanding of media, the media industry and media production. I have worked within the media industry since leaving university as a freelance videographer, gaining over 17 years production experience. And as a video tutor/lecturer working with young people from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs, I love to teach and inspire.

Tutoring Experience

As a fully qualified media studies lecturer with over 12 years teaching experience, I have taught media studies at secondary level GCSE/BTEC and within further education BTEC Level 1/ Level 2 and Level 3 Extended diploma and have a full in-depth understanding of the media as an industry and subject.

Tutoring Approach

Our sessions will be an opportunity for you to develop your media understanding further reinforcing what you may already know and giving you the opportunity to develop the areas you may be slightly unsure about. To achieve the maximum benefit from our sessions we will work closely with the topics/ units you may be studying at school/ college putting together a plan of work to mirror the areas you are currently studying. This will help to reinforce your understanding enabling you to integrate it further into your work to ensure that you achieve your very best. I will work with you at a pace that feels comfortable but will also help you to achieve your potential!
