I'm 30 years old with a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from Cambridge University. I come from a working class family and was tutored Maths by my mother from a young age. In Cambridge I had to develop the skills to work through very challenging problems, so although I have always been good at Maths myself, I know the feeling of starting a problem feeling completely lost, but then learning how to work through it. In getting into Cambridge, I learned how to perform at a very high level, gaining multiple 100% scores in A-level Maths and Science modules. So whether you are high or low level, I am sure I can help you reach the next level.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching around the world since 2012, focusing in recent years on GCSE and A-Level Maths and GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I have experience in helping lower level students acheive significantly higher grades and also in helping higher level students achieve the highest grades in preparation for future applications to Oxford and Cambridge and other top universities.

Tutoring Approach

Maths and Sciences are confusing subjects for many people, but they doesn't have to be. I do not believe that Maths and Science are intuitive skills but build on previous knowledge to almost become intuitive. My approach is to find students' weaknesses and work on them to give them the confidence and knowledge to tackle every kind of topic and problem. A lot of students fall down when it comes to putting their knowledge onto the paper, I am specialised in teaching exam technique and how to maximise marks in each question. My classes are very relaxed and I am an enthusiastic but patient teacher.
