I am a Secondary Head of History teacher with 12 years experience of teaching across key Stages 3-5. I am a team leader for History GCSE examinations and have an in depth knowledge of the specifications and requirements of all major KS4 and KS5 exam boards including IGCSE, Edexcel, AQA and OCR. I have a strong 2.1 history degree from a Russell Group University and can assist with the writing of dissertations and University projects. I am also interested in promoting adult education and have worked in local communities promoting lifelong learning in a range of subjects.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring Approach

I am an experienced classroom teacher with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I am warm and I bring a sense of humor into my work and into the relationships that underpin successful teaching. I understand the need to make lessons less like school and will endevor to provide a refreshing change from the usual school approach.

Lessons can be booked for between 1 and 3 hours face-to-face, or online over Zoom, Google Meet or Skype. I am also willing to respond to further questions in between sessions.
