3 years experience in Y6, and 2 years as a tutor, I am an excellent practitioner for the preparations for the end of Key Stage 2 assessments, including SATs and writing moderation.

I am a fully qualified Primary Teacher, and have been in education for over 12 years. I am passionate and dedicated to ensuring all children achieve their full potential. I am an excellent Mathematician and am available to teach this subject to children up to Year 9, or adults looking for casual tutoring. Additionally, I teach English Grammar up to age 11.

I have a Grade 3 in Singing and am also available as a casual singing coach.

Full Qualified Teaching Status - This is my twelfth year in Primary Education.
I am available to teach both English and Maths from the New Primary Curriculum - Ages 5 - 11.
Additionally, I have 5 years experience in raising attainment in preparation for the new SATs assessments at the end of Key Stage 2.

Tutoring Approach

When working on a 1 to 1 basis, it is crucial to adapt teaching to suit the learning style of the individual. My methods are fun and varied, using a range of resources, and follow a simple structure of 'Teach-Practice-Apply'. Repetition is the key to embedding any new skills.
It is my first priority to engage pupils by putting 100% into every session I teach. I am firm but fair and aim to develop a good, trusting relationship with my pupils.
Homework will be set at the end of each session.
