I’m Sallie, I’m a private art tutor and illustrator based in Newport, Shropshire. Whilst I’m not teaching, I create handpainted watercolour commissions for customers.

My art lessons consist of everything arty! Students can learn watercolours, acrylics, pencil sketching, shading techniques, sketchbook tips, charcoal techniques, experiment with clay, create storybook illustration, work on storyboards, digital art, still life drawing, character creation, crayon and pastel experimentation - the possibilities are endless!

I am fully DBS checked (June 2022) and have Public Liability Insurance.

Tutoring Experience

Since 2013 I have worked as a private art tutor for children and young people. My lessons are both Virtual (via Zoom or FaceTime) or Studio (face-to-face).

I have volunteered in both primary schools and nurseries, and I am very confident with teaching and instructing, as well as offering support and guidance.

Tutoring Approach

I am very friendly and approachable, yet deal with students in a professional manner. In addition to this, I am patient, understanding, enthusiastic, proactive and organised - and this will be evident in my tutoring. My lessons are student-led, fun and flexible.

I offer Studio and Virtual art lessons. Studio lessons are priced at £30 per hour, Virtual lessons are priced at £25 per hour.
