Currently have weekday (mostly), weeknight and weekend availability. Online and telephone video sessions are proving to be very effective learning channels.

Summer 2019 Maths GCSE results were 9s (x2) 8s (x8 including 3 students within 3 percent of getting 9s) 6s (x2) and 5 (x1 Foundation level student). Most exceeded predicted grades by at least 1 if not 2 or more levels.

In addition to being a qualified Actuary I am becoming a qualified ACCA Accountant. I hold a Masters Degree in Actuarial Science, Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, BSc in S.C.O.R.E. (Statistics, Computing, Operational Research and Economics (including Mathematics)) from University College London. These are supplemented by other achievements including PRINCE2 Practitioner, NLP Practitioner and Mindfulness training enabling me to deliver a positive, rewarding and thorough learning experience .

Tutoring Experience

I have coached/mentored adults and children to improve Financial Education and mathematics knowledge for all and to achieve their aims. I have a thorough knowledge of the G.C.S.E., I.G.C.S.E (including further level) Mathematics syllabus plus A-levels (various exam boards) to provide and develop knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts including: Numbers, Algebra, Geometry, Measures, Statistics and Probability. An enabler for tutees to use their knowledge and understanding to form connections between mathematical concepts and to be able to apply these in real life situations.

I am an expert in 11+ Mathematics exam preparation.

Over the years I have worked with many students with additional learning requirements giving them the confidence to succeed beyond what they thought was possible and achieve higher than predicted grades.

Able to provide tailored staff training courses to meet the requirements of the audience in a wide variety of sectors.

I enjoy the challenge of helping students achieve their potential and plans can be established to meet short, medium and long term objectives.

Professional dedicated approach to tutoring to inspire and enable tutees to succeed using excellent communication skills. Seeing my tutees succeed gives me a great sense of achievement. I can provide the tools and approaches to solve the problems, but success requires commitment and hard work from the tutee.
