As well as being an experienced piano, singing & cello tutor, I am a multi instrumental performer, composer and conductor and Musical Director. I'm a professional jazz singer and cocktail pianist and have performed at the South Bank Centre and done gigs all over the South East of England, as well as appearing on 'Top of the Pops'. I also play the cello at weddings with The Clerkenwell String Quartet.
I am also highly qualified with an MPhil and an MMus in Composition from Goldsmiths, London University, and a BAPA (Hons) in Performance Arts from Middlesex University. I also have teaching qualifications - CTTLS and PTTLS - for teaching adult learners.
My compositions have been played on BBC TV, BBC Radio 3 & 4, and at major theatres throughout the UK.

Tutoring Experience

I started teaching in 1996, and since then I have taught talented professionals, amateurs and celebrities such as Joss Stone and sports presenter Gabbi Logan and up and coming stars like Jasmine Thompson.
I currently teach adults the cello, music theory, songwriting and composition at The City Lit - Central London's premiere adult education institute.
Previously I was Head of the Centre for Young Musicians (Kensington & Chelsea) from 2006-2009, and have taught at Richmond Community College and worked as a piano & cello tutor and choral conductor for Hackney, Harringey and Lambeth music services.
