NEW BOOKINGS I'm currently looking forward to the Summer ahead and have availability to take on pupils from the week beginning 10th July. I'm incredibly flexible and can work around you and your holiday plans.

I am rated as an outstanding Primary School Teacher and truly believe I have the best job in the world! I am a mature, responsible, reliable and friendly 28 year old based just in Stockbridge, near Winchester, Hampshire. I have an Outstanding rated Primary PGCE with Humanities specialism (2017) and 2:1 (Hons) BA degree in Greek and Roman Studies (2016) from the University Exeter.

I am a Primary specialist and have a keen interest in Reading books of all kinds and sharing these with the children I teach, as well as an in depth knowledge and passion for the Humanities, having studied ancient civilisations at university.

I have a calm, friendly manner and am extremely patient so that all tutees feel instantly comfortable. When tutoring, I value the 1:1 teaching environment where all focus is all upon the child. This allows me to bring out the best possible learning and help a child push themselves and establish themselves as a confident and constructive learner.

I grew up gaining over 8 years of nannying experience dealing with children of all ages and also spent two summers as a Camp Counsellor for Camp America – supervising children at a residential camp. This allowed me to develop a brilliant working relationship with children of all ages before obtaining my teaching degree. Of course, I hold an up to date DBS check and full clear driving license.

I have many passions, including drama, theatre and singing - having run an internationally known collegiate A Cappella group during my time at university. I regularly perform on stages as part of local amateur theatre groups.

Tutoring Experience

I currently teach at a leading Prep school based in Hampshire. Before this, I was teaching at a first class, international school in Hong Kong, having moved across the globe in August 2019. I am currently a Year 4 class teacher but relish opportunities to work with all year groups, from EYFS to Year 6. In September 2017, I completed my PGCE and entered my first job, teaching Year 3 at a school in Hampshire. During my training year, I had placements in Year 2 and Year 5 and I have completed many work experiences in schools since 2009.

I have had diverse experiences, visiting different schools and working with a variety of children, including those who have special educational needs and english as an additional language. Working at an international school has allowed me to specialise with children who need additional support in learning English, specifically difficulties in Reading fluency, comprehension and grammar.

Tutoring Approach

Having been part of the first response team when COVID-19 hit Asia, I had to manage teaching 24 children online, offering them a creative, engaging and high standard curriculum - the same as which they would have had in school. Therefore, I am extremely capable with Zoom and Skype teaching, using many online resources to ensure your child achieves and feels truly confident in their learning if you choose to tutor online.

I am looking forward to working with children one-on-one during tutoring, as I believe this is when children can really achieve, without the distractions of fellow classmates or school life. My tutoring sessions will be flexible and individually planned around your child's needs, strengths and areas for development. The sessions are interactive, stimulating and filled with fun in order to allow children to be supported and feel comfortable. I wish to give every child the chance to succeed and most importantly, help them feel confident and happy about their ability.

I am extremely happy to offer online tutoring sessions during this time. I have heard, first hand, the concerns that parents have had about the time their children have spent out of a school routine. I am here to reassure and support, ensuring your child continues to attain, whilst enjoying and loving learning.
