I am a qualified teacher QTLS with more than 13 years of supporting children, young people and adults to achieve their goals. I currently teach
Maths GCSE and reformed functional skills mathematics L1 /L2.
I am more than a teacher, I coach and support students to succeed with their life in general. I support them to set their own goals, build their self confidence and find their way to building their future..

I have taken part in supporting young people and adults developing their careers. Many of my tutees moved to achieve their desired destinations in Colleges/ vocational courses or universities.

Having the knowledge of a subject is something important, yet having the skills to study and prepare are more important to achieve desired results. I find many of the students require the skills to study more than the subject knowledge. This is where I can help and support. I don't just teach the students, I let them find their path and follow it through.

Tutoring Experience

Experienced in teaching KS3 and GCSE Maths/ IGCSE for more than 10 years in a high school.
I am highly experienced in tailoring curriculum to meet the needs of the students with learning difficulties specifically mathematics using the Maths with Mastery approach.
Experienced in teaching maths for young people and adults who are re-sitting GCSE.

I am also specialised in teaching study skills, offering advise on course choices for A-Level's/ Vocational. I can support the students to make an inform choice about apprenticeships and application process.
Provide support and preparation for apprenticeships vocational exams, observations and professional discussions.

Provide training, advise and support on teaching training for Adults and for parents who have children with learning needs and learning difficulties.
Provide training, advise and support for specialised teaching assistants whom working with children and young people with learning difficulties.

Provide support and guidance for parents on curriculum, GCSE programme and other schooling matters.
Provide help and guidance for parents with ESOL if required.

Tutoring Approach

I am patient with students and able to differentiate tasks according to their ability and level, re-instating their confidence in understanding of difficult mathematical concepts.
I provide support and study skills for other subjects as required.
I support them to reach independency and enabling them to build their willingness to learn and having a growth mindset.
I work with students to help them find their own strengths and build on previous knowledge by revisiting the topics that require improving. I provide differentiated tasks and past papers according to the individual needs of the student.
Lessons are tailored to each student, with mastery approach to help recall facts.
I support the students to manage time and work with them to plan and prepare for exams, building studying skills and embrace organisation.

I am fluent in English and Arabic, and can adapt my teaching and communication to suit those who come from different backgrounds and speak other languages.
