I have recently returned from teaching abroad and am keen to share my love of Maths with my tutees.
I am married and have an 8 year old son.
In my spare time I am a marathon runner and keen cyclist and love walking in the Gower

Tutoring Experience

I have 20 years of Maths teaching experience in schools in the UK and abroad including 2 years as head of Maths department.
I have a degree and teaching certificate from Swansea University.

Tutoring Approach

I have been a tutor to many students over the years. Where other tutors simply turn up and do problems with their tutee, I practice an individualised service by providing prior lesson 'home assignments' which can be scanned, emailed and checked by me ready for the next lesson. In this way, I can focus the lesson on misconceptions identified in the home assignment.
I am particularly good at helping less able students build confidence and share in the responsibility for their own learning
