Tutoring Experience

I have spent 33 years in Education Management, teacher training and language coaching in language schools in Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Oxford. I went to live in France immediately after graduating and worked there for 13 years. I am bilingual. I have taught English to professionals and students of all nationalities. I have taught business, technical, academic, and general English as well as French for Business, GCSE & A Level French and French in-company and privately since January 2014 when I began working for myself.
I specialised for five years in coaching French university- level students to get into the Elite French business and Engineering schools.
I have coached numerous nurses and doctors to success in the IELTS Test and am familiar with the new OET test.
I am familiar with the syllabus of GCSE and A Level French as well as the International Baccalaureate (IB)

Tutoring Approach

I am an experienced, qualified language coach. This means that it is YOUR language needs which determine what elements of the language in terms of skills, vocabulary and structures you need to study, not a pre-determined syllabus. Language Coaching focuses on the performance elements of your language learning practice. I use techniques and strategies which foster enhanced awareness to allow you, the language learner, to clarify both your short and long term goals, to perceive your progress in the language more readily, and to remain focused. In addition, Language Coaching provides help with identifying and addressing limiting beliefs and other potential confidence issues keeping you from achieving your goals.
