I am a very experienced Geography Head of Department with complete commitment to achieving the full potential of all my students. I work at a large school judged by Ofsted to be outstanding and I have been judged as an outstaning classroom practitioner. I am an experienced examiner where my recent exam marking performance was described as exceptionally accurate and consistent. My knowledge of exam specifications and mark schemes is extensive. My preference is to tutor for Edexcel at A level but if I have space available, I am more than happy to tutor for Edexcel & AQA GCSE.
As well as teaching full time, I also enjoy tutoring on a regular basis and have achieved top grades for my recent tutees.

I have extensive experience of Key stage 3,4 and 5 geography teaching. I have examined for 5 years for both GCSE and A level.

Tutoring Approach

I mainly tutor through application to exam questions. I find that students often have the knowledge but often don't fully understand what is needed to access the top levels in exams. Being an examiner, I know exactly what is needed to achive the marks, so I teach by providing model answers to exam questions and quickly build up to timed teacher marked exam questions.
