I am an experienced and qualified friendly teacher. Over the years I have diversified and added to my skills and professional development and can offer confident teaching in Maths and English for Primary, KS3, GCSE and IB level and Business Studies up to A Level. I can offer entrance exam support including verbal and non verbal reasoning. I also provide support for student teachers in the numeracy and literacy skills test.
I have considerable experience and expertise dealing with Autism, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia as well as with dealing with the exceptionally gifted.
I currently work as a GCSE expert examiner and team leader for Pearson exam board. As a professional private tutor, I regularly attend training courses to keep up to date with any changes in the national curriculum and exams syllabus.
I am based near Worthing.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 15 years teaching experience in schools across the age ranges from junior to secondary in both mainstream and special needs establishments. I have been in senior permanent positions at these schools to include Head of Department and Year Head.
I have 10 years experience of teaching privately to both children and adults with excellent results (please read my feedback).
My experience also includes marking and moderating for External Sats exams as well as GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

I use the first lesson to try and determine what level a pupil is operating at and to indentify strengths and weaknesses. I then go away and use this information to put together a programme of study, tailored to the pupils individual needs. I can then adapt these programmes as necessary, to accommodate the pupils preferred learning style as the weeks progress.
Please note my prices are £30 for HALF AN HOUR, £40 for 45 MINS or £50 for ONE HOUR .
I can now offer online tuition to students anywhere in the world via an online teaching platform that allows students and teacher to share and write on documents together. You will need a computer with google chrome or an android device to access this service. For local students I can offer a hybrid of online and face to face lessons where required,but can only offer face to face during the school day due to time restraints of travelling after school.
