I am 32 years old, I live and am from Leeds and am passionate about education and young people. I have lengthy experience in working with children and young people. I have all my GCSE's A-C, A-Levels in English Lit, Law and Physical Education and a 1st Class Honors degree in Social Care/Social Work. I am able to tutor health/social care beyond degree standard, in my current role I support with tutoring of this subject and have a 1st class degree in the subject area. I also support GCSE English and have successfully tutored GCSE English at a high standard throughout the last 5 years. Please see references below in light of this! I currently work in social care for the NHS.

Tutoring Experience

I previously worked extensively with 15-17 year olds, encouraging them to pursue positive opportunities and helping with their education. I have experience working in behaviour management in a secondary school where I would have to tutor in core subjects (Maths and English). My degree has also given me tutoring opportunities and work with young people to encourage revision, help with any problem subjects and encourage learning. I supported day-to-day with GCSE English and contributed to other subject areas where necessary. I have tutored privately for 5 years now and have 100% pass rate, first time with students who are taking their exams for the first time or resitting.

Tutoring Approach

I am a calm and patient tutor who encourages young people/children to find the answers themselves through my supervision.I am organised and have extensive experience in revision techniques. I get on with young people and children extremely well and believe a positive relationship encourages listening and positive learning.
