Eliz

My name is Eliz-Leyla and I am currently a Principle Research Officer. I graduated from the University of Nottingham in summer 2015, in receipt of various academic awards throughout my academic history. I was the first year to enter University at the £9k fee's, which made me value my education much more. I was active in sports alongside my academic studies, as well as being head of my department at University. I excel in Maths and Science as I completed my GCSE's only at the age of 14.

I believe I am able to understand the struggles and experiences of school children much better as I am not a stranger to studying, as I have only just graduated. I am a friendly and bubbly character which an enthusiastic approach to learning and teaching by providing creative ways to learning!

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring successfully for over 10 year now, with my tutees excelling in their exams.
All A - level students of mine have achieved A*-C grades, entering Russel group universities.
I also help those in Primary school further their classroom time to develop their thinking into secondary school. Throughout the years, especially whilst at University, I have been involved in charity and government schemes to aid children's learning in deprived areas. I have been involved in numerous Summer Schools aiding sixthformers applications to top Russell Group universities.

Tutoring Approach

Every approach varies from pupil to pupil. I find a way in which suits the individual needs of each pupil I teach.

Being in my 20’s, I’ve found Tutee’s feel more comfortable being open and honest, which is super useful when trying to understand their barriers and learning techniques. The fear is elevated and they’re able to benefit more from the sessions.
