I graduated from the University of Nottingham and went onto complete a Ph.D. in ballistics/mathematics at the Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham. At that time I also wrote a book on ballistics (Basic Military Ballistics) and still selling! I have taught at school level and University level. As well as performing post-doctoral research at the University of Oxford (Engineering Science) I have also written and published 3 books for children, key stages 1 and 2 on Maths and Science. These books sold in the high street stores. I am able to tutor anyone studying up to and including Further Maths 'A' level; and GCSE's Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught/lectured/tutored for around 16 years, ranging from a private school to Swindon FE college and University level. I have been tutoring for the past seven years and I have taught A levels for the EDEXCEL, OCR, OCR-MEI, AQA and WJEC boards.

Tutoring Approach

At our first meeting I would establish the weak or key areas for development. For example, often students starting 'A' level maths may become lost as their foundation in algebra is not strong enough. Laying strong foundations is my approach to tutoring.
