Currently Head of Economics and Business at prestigious independent girls' school in south west London. 2019 Economics A level results 78% A*/A; 2019 Business & Management (PreU) 100% A*/A [2020 Covid cohort: 75% A/A* Economics).
I have a Bachelor's degree in Business and French from the University of Edinburgh (upper second Joint Honours), and a Masters degree (Distinction) in international commercial law from the University of Surrey. I have acted as examiner for Edexcel economics A level. Professionally, and prior to reaching I worked in international business trading consumer goods in the Middle East.

Tutoring Experience

14 years in independent (girls) and selective grammar school (boys) in south London area. Currently Head of Dept in the former. Experience with A level Economics and A level Business and comfortable with all elements of content and well versed with the requirements of the 2015 reformed A levels. As a tutor I have worked with all the Economics and Business specifications for post 16 qualifications (AQA/Edexcel/OCR/PreU).

Tutoring Approach

Context and topiciality are crucial to securing high marks in the reformed A levels and are key to my approach in supporting students one to one. After all they are subjects that we live! Tutoring has convinced me that a patient but persistent manner can yield high level outcomes. I also know well the areas of the material that students struggle with most (exchange rates is usually one!). I also enjoy essay planning with students - starting from scratch and building structures to responses and pupils have appreciated and enjoyed this guided approach.
