Personal Description:

To me teaching means helping people develop and express their personality and live a more fulfilling life, regardless of their age. I had some great teachers in my life and, after many and many years, I am still grateful to them for what they left me. They believed in what they were doing: teaching for them was not a job - it was a mission. They are my models.

I graduated (Master of Science) in Business Administration at the Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy, in 1992. After some years teaching business-related subjects, I started working for different multinational companies in the insurance industry, mostly in training and in Marketing/Digital Marketing. I moved to Ireland in 2014, where I still live.

Besides teaching, I am passionate about music, food and wine, travel.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught and trained students of different ages and in different contexts, developing an ability to understand their needs and adapting my approach to them.

After seven years teaching in secondary and further education schools, I switched to corporate training - particularly communication skills and insurance - to call centre agents and to sales representatives.

I now teach Italian to both adults and children, for leisure, school and business purposes. I can also develop tailor-made training on business Italian, with a deep knowledge of the financial service industry and of the marketing and digital marketing fields.

Tutoring Approach:

The didactical approach is agreed with each student according to their goals and aptitudes.

In general, the focus is on enabling the student to communicate in a wide range of situations of increasing complexity, according to each one’s level of knowledge. The grammar is taught in context, minimizing the boring (and scant useful) learning by heart of dozens of rules and hundreds of exceptions.

During the classes, the students enjoy a varied and wide range of teaching techniques, so that learning results more effective and pleasant.

While the best approach is to run classes speaking only in Italian, I can also use both English and French to facilitate, when needed, the students.
