Information About Shaun - Midrand tutor

Personal Description:

I am currently working in the Midrand area, I completed my Honours in BSc Computer Science in 2017 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I completed my Undergraduate degree with Cum Laude. I completed 1st, 2nd and 3rd year modules in Mathematics and Computer Science with a few modules in Statistics, Information Systems/Tech along the way. In High School I matriculated with 7 A's and was chosen to be a Prefect at Northwood High School in Durban. I have a passion for Mathematics/IT Programming/Physical Sciences/Chemistry. I am keen to share my knowledge and try and help students excel. Recently graduating, I would prefer to tutor university students who are struggling (or even need to turn that B into an A!) with the above mentioned Modules/Courses. I am also open to helping High School students with Maths/Physics/Accounting/IT.

Tutoring Approach:

Just like the tutors that helped me in High School/University, I take a very systematic approach to tutoring. I like to give background as to WHY the student is doing what they're doing and then building from there. If the student has a clear understanding of why they're doing something, then I can help guide them on how to do it. Over and above that, teachers/lecturers look for certain things when marking papers/tests, over the years I have excelled at understanding this. Even students with brilliant minds struggle to get good marks when they don't understand how they are being tested or what they are being tested on. My tutoring will focus on the content but also focus on passing/getting good grades.
