Tutoring Experience:

Over a decade ago, I started my Afrikaans teaching at the aftercare business I owned. What started as a helping hand for homework quickly turned into a passion, especially when I saw how much the kids’ Afrikaans marks shot up!

Then came 2020, and like many of us, I started teaching online during the pandemic and I’ve been tutoring virtually ever since! These days, I combine two of my favorite things: teaching and traveling. So whether I’m in a bustling city or a quiet beach town, I’m still connecting with students and helping them fall in love with Afrikaans.

I absolutely love working with kids and young people, there’s something magical about watching them grow in confidence and skill. Teaching isn’t just what I do, it’s what I love to do.

Most recently, I’ve added Computer Skills for Kids to my portfolio! From basic skills to internet safety I help kids build confidence with technology in a fun, safe online space.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach all my lessons online via Google Meet, so students can join from anywhere, no traffic, no stress!

My approach is friendly, patient, supportive, and goal-oriented whether students need help with grammar, reading, writing, comprehension, or oral presentations.

I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to improve their Afrikaans skills and learn new computer skills.
