Personal Description:

My name is Sechaba , and I’m currently completing my second year of articles in the audit field as part of my journey to becoming a Chartered Accountant. I’m passionate about education and believe in the power of guidance, especially because I’ve directly benefited from it myself. As someone who’s made it through the rigorous accounting academic journey, I understand both the technical content and the mental resilience it takes to succeed. I’m also deeply interested in using my skills to help others, whether it’s in financial literacy, professional growth, or academic success.

Tutoring Experience:

While I haven’t tutored in a formal, professional capacity yet, I regularly coach junior team members at work. This often involves breaking down complex audit or accounting concepts, reviewing their work, and helping them develop both their technical and analytical skills. These day-to-day mentorship moments have helped me build strong communication and teaching skills, especially the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt based on the learner’s level of understanding.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring style is structured, supportive, and student-centered. I prefer to know in advance which topics or sections we’ll be covering so I can prepare and make the session as valuable as possible. During the lesson, I like to present the problem clearly, then give the student a chance to attempt it on their own. This helps build confidence and critical thinking. Afterward, we go through the solution together, step-by-step, identifying areas for improvement and refining their approach. I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and building their understanding at their own pace.
