Information About Sebabatso - Phuthaditjhaba tutor

Personal Description:

Sebabatso is an undergraduate student at the University of Cape Town where she is currently enrolled in the Civil engineering program. Her primary goal is to help people who have traditionally had problems with numeracy start to build their confidence in their math skills, change their current perspective on the subject and see the fun side of numbers and all the manipulation and operations they come with. She is a family person before a tutor, and so she does not only care about teaching the content but also about the person being taught. She says her students and her are not a team because they work together, but because they respect and care for each other.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored grade 7-11 maths in the years 2015-2018. I have worked with people of ages 13-19 and a few of over 35 who went to rewrite their matric math.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very flexible person, I look out for what works for my student while using different methods. I teach content and put emphasis on concepts a lot. I love to show students different styles of solving problems, give them challenging problems which I believe develops strategic thinking. I do house calls for people living in Qwaqwa, but due to Corona Virus, I've been working online.
