Personal Description:

I am a semi-retired mechanical engineer with a passion for maths and finance. I hold a BSc (Mech) Eng, BCom, BSc (Hons) Maths of Finance and MBA degree. I am a hardworking, committed and patient person. I understand that everyone is unique and learns differently, I adapt my teaching methods to accommodate any student.

I have four children that have gone on to succeed in University, even at postgradua**Contact Detail Removed**vels, in their chosen fields. I like to tell myself I had a part to play in their success. I wish to play a part in assisting learners with maths so that they can attain their full potential and have the ability to succeed in their chosen career. I am hoping the confidence students get from my tutoring will contribute to their personal development as well as the country's economy.

Tutoring Experience:

I have assisted artisans with their mathematics studies at TVET colleges which includes Grade 12 mathematics.

I tutored my four children throughout their high school years particularly in maths and economics, allowing them have the ability to enter University and choose whichever course they desired. I also assisted several of their friends.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the fundamentals of maths are of paramount importance. If one understands the basic concepts and theory then the student should be able to apply these concepts to any problem presented to them (no matter how complex). I reinforce these concepts with many exercises so it becomes second nature for my students. This will assist in various exams and tests faced by the students.

The difficulty many students have is a lack of confidence in the subjects rather than a lack of ability. These subjects should be enjoyed and not feared, I aim to achieve this by building the students confidence in their approach to maths and economics.

Practice practice practice is my motto.
