I am definitely a child/student-loving person with a great sense of humour. As much as I can be a joker, as much I can take the serious things in life, as priorities. I am also not a demanding person and would rather listen to the problems of others, and try to find solutions, to assist, or just give my personal support.
My teaching career started in 1988 at Mariepskop Primary school. I left Mariepskop at the end of 1990, and started teaching at Lord Milner Primary School in 1991, for one year. Thereafter I joined Fauna Park Primary School in January 1992. At these mentioned schools, I taught Grades 4 to 7 in almost all the Primary School subjects. On 04 August 1992, I accepted a post at my first school for learners with Special Educational Needs (ELSEN Schools), namely Bosele School for the Blind and Deaf, where I taught the Hearing Impaired learners Carpentry. In April 2000, I was transferred to Setotolwane ELSEN school as an acting Deputy Principal, to establish the Section for the Deaf. Here, I've been teaching Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy, grades 8 to 10, until I resigned from Education on 30 April 2015.
Personally I feel that each human being has the right to proper, meaningful education to prepare himself/herself for a bright future in his/her life in our country. To me, things like race, gender, culture and religion, should not be a slightest consideration when it comes to education/tutoring. Differentiation is the most important aspect any educator/tutor should make part of his/her personality and lifestyle.
