Personal Description:

I am passionate about music, and what it does for people. The science of music and how it influences students is fascinating. I have seen how it can change lives and help to grow confidence. Many of my students have continued to make music their career - some are teachers, some are performers. This is a sense of pride for me. My adult students are especially close to my heart since I know what it takes from them personally and time-wise to take lessons.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught for many years, from junior to high school, but I prefer to teach privately and on a one-on-one basis. There are times when I become a counsellor as well when the need arises because we create a special bond. I still have contact with many of my past students.

Tutoring Approach:

Totally open. If the student wants to play for pleasure, or whether it's a possible career, I am open to the requirements and needs of the pupil. My aim in teaching and sharing is to bring out the best possible and potential of the person I am working with. The progress of the student is what gives me the inspiration to share my gift and knowledge.
