Personal Description:

I was born and raised in Bloemfontein in a Christian home that shaped my values form an early age. My journey in education began as a student at Jim Fouche Primary and Secondary School, where I first felt a deep seated calling to become a teacher. I've always known in my heart that my purpose is to help young minds develop and grow. A pivotal moment in my life happened in Grade 11 when my teacher shared a vision for my future ,saying she saw me specifically as a primary school math teacher. Following that dream led me to study at Kovsies (University of the Freestate). Outside of school, I am proud wife and mother to a wonderful two-year old boy who I adore. My family is the greatest you and keeps me motivated to be the best educator I can be.

Tutoring Experience:

Today with 12 years of experience in the classroom and having served as a Math Subject head for five years, I am more passionate than ever about making mathematics accessible and exciting for my learners.

Tutoring Approach:

Concrete: Using physical objects (blocks, counters) to touch and feel numbers. Pictorial : Using drawings or bar models to see the math. Abstract: Moving to symbols and numbers only when a child truly understand the concept.
