Personal Description:

I’m a second-year Accounting Sciences student at the University of the Witwatersrand. I’m passionate about learning and helping others understand challenging concepts especially in accounting, economics, and mathematics. I believe that with the right guidance and simple explanations, anyone can master these subjects. I matriculated in 2024 bagging distinctions. In my first year in University i also managed to bag distinctions and get my average as a distinction. I believe that hard work and discipline will get you where you need to be in life, you do not need to be book smart to get these distinctions. You just need to be persistent and get help where you need help. My tutoring style focuses on building confidence and understanding the why behind each concept, rather than just memorising information. I enjoy creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel free to ask questions and make mistakes — because that’s how real learning happens!

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience assisting fellow students and high school learners with accounting, mathematics, and economics. I’ve helped peers prepare for tests and exams by simplifying complex topics, working through past papers, and identifying key problem areas. I have tutored learners at my local library from grade 4 learners till grade 12 learners.

Although I’m still early in my academic journey, my strong grasp of fundamental concepts and my ability to explain them clearly have earned positive feedback from those I’ve tutored. I’m eager to continue developing my teaching skills while helping others achieve academic success.

My tutoring approach is based on understanding, patience, and active learning. I start by identifying each student’s strengths and the areas they find most challenging. From there, I tailor my lessons to suit their learning style whether it’s through visual explanations, step-by-step examples, or practice questions.

I believe that learning is most effective when students feel comfortable and confident, so I encourage open discussion and make sure no question goes unanswered. I focus on breaking complex topics into simple, manageable parts and linking theory to real-life or exam-style applications.

Each session is designed to build both knowledge and confidence. I help students develop study techniques, problem-solving skills, and exam strategies so they can become independent learners who understand why something works not just how to do it.
