Personal Description:

I am a qualified and experienced high school teacher from the University of Pretoria (2019), having majored in English and Mathematics. I have also completed a BEd Honours in Computer Integrated Education (both cum laude).

I have recently returned to Pretoria from teaching in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal. I have over 4 years experience teaching the IEB curriculum.
I aim to emigrate and teach abroad by the end of the year, but I would like to help as many students improve their results throughout this year.

I would particularly like to work with Matric learners to achieve their best English result possible; I am excited, however, to work with a variety of learners' needs.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an English Home Language teacher with experience teaching IEB Grades 7–12. I also have many years experience tutoring Mathematics for learners Grades 5–10.
I have Matric IEB Examination marking experience (2023), where I was identified as the youngest marker there.

During my BEd degree, I specialised in English (Grades 7–12), Mathematics (Grades 7–10) and Mathematical Literacy (Grades 10–12).

I also have experience tutoring an array of subjects (primary school and early high school) as well. Particularly for primary school learners, I enjoy working through homework and preparing for assessments.

Tutoring Approach:

Not every learner approaches their work or studying in the same way, as everyone learns differently. I am able to adapt to various methods and help each learner in ways that work for their unique needs.

I love working with children of all ages and will ensure that they feel comfortable enough to approach me with any concerns regarding their work or whatever they need help with.
I have lovely relationships with previous tutees and consider this an important aspect of my work.
