Personal Description:

I am an experienced lecturer of economics and have taught at various universities in South Africa.
Since 2019 I have also gained experience in on-line teaching.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 38 years of experience at University level: Microeconomics, labour economics, international trade, economic indicators, public economics
(prior to this I gained experience as high school teacher - 15 years)

Tutoring Approach:

I firstly try to get to know the student(s) and identify their specific needs/challenges.

My approach is to focus directly on the specifically prescribed subject-matter, but regard it as important to teach students to be able to apply the theoretical principles in a practical context.

It is important that students gain insight into the relevance of what they are learning.

My aim is to get students to be passionate about economics.
