Personal Description:

I am a qualified high school English teacher. I live on a small farm and have four dogs. I love the outdoors, playing guitar, writing and recording songs, mountain biking and reading. I like to encourage students and see how they grow and improve their skills and knowledge. Teaching and learning is a partnership it is seldom achieved without active co-operation between both parties.

Tutoring Experience:

I taught English from grades 8-11 for three years at a high school in Cape Town.
I taught guitar playing, song-writing and stage performance for three years in a school I developed in Nelspruit.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning is a collaboration between tutor and student. My job is to make an assessment of the students needs in consultation with the student and then provide information, understanding, skills training, encouragement, enthusiasm and a vision for how to achieve the students goals.
The students responsibility is to take ownership of their goals and have a desire to reach them. Together we can achieve success.
