Information About Claire - Hoedspruit tutor

Personal Description:

I am a recently qualified Intermediate Phase teacher specializing in Geography and Mathematics with training in English-home language, Life Orientation, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences additionally. I studied through the University of the Witwatersrand. I am an empathetic, driven and enthusiastic individual looking to grow my experience and skills and as a result launch my professional career.

Tutoring Experience:

I have done 3 weeks of teaching experience at Melpark Primary School, 6 weeks at Northcliff Primary school and 6 weeks at Risidale Primary school. All situated in Johannesburg. I have also completed a 6 week Teacher choices in Action course and 3 weeks of Micro Teaching to University Students due to Covid protocols and schools not allowing external access.

Tutoring Approach:

I am committed to getting to know all my students and understand their learning needs and what the best approach is for them. I believe that all children and unique and with that comes unique learning approaches that work for, and because of this I am committed to giving each individual learner the specific help that they require to become the best version of themselves. It is very important for me to go back to the basics in order to get a full and clear idea of where the learner requires help. I am not here to give the learner all the answer but instead give them the tools that will allow them to get to the correct answer and give them as much guidance and patience as they need. My goal as a tutor is to bring about positive change in learners as they grow both physically and cognitively and guide them to be the best versions of themselves through encouragement, empathy and patience.
