Personal Description:

I've had a passion for maths my whole life and it has been central to the work and studies I have done since leaving school (after being awarded the maths prize for the top student in my year!) In recent years I've begun tutoring students over the internet and have loved seeing confidence blossom as we develop strengths and tackle weaknesses. Nothing makes me happier than hearing a student say "I didn't know maths could be so much fun!"

Tutoring Experience:

I've taught extensively in secondary schools, colleges and most recently privately, online, tutoring students to prepare for 11+ entrance. I've also edited a series of GCSE textbooks.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons are bespoke, tailored to each child, developing skill and expertise. I love to see how their confidence builds as they develop competence and understanding in each area of work. Each student is unique. Besides the time spent online, I spend time preparing lessons specifically with your child in mind and marking work done. Although I have worked extensively of late tutoring for 11+ entrance, I believe strongly in establishing a solid understanding of the 'language' of mathematics that will stand your child in good stead for the years ahead.
