Personal Description:
I am a passionate and warm-hearted teacher who is looking to help people reach their full academic potential. I earned two degrees from the University of Stellenbosch, a BA International Studies, as well as my Honours degree in History; and I recently obtained my Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Intermediate and Senior Phase. I am a student of the social arts and would love to help people from all walks of life. I am a bubbly person, who is determined to help.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching English in both Thailand and Korea for over 3 years. In Thailand, I was the Homeroom teacher to two wonderful Grade 1 classes, where I taught them English, Maths, and Science. At my second Thai school I taught differentiated ESL to Grade 1-4 students, as well as Health to all Grade 2 students. In Korea, I taught English from Kindergarten level to Grade 6. I also have taught English to adults online, as well as some private tutoring students in both South Africa and Thailand.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that every person is different in the way that they learn, I am willing to explore all avenues when tutoring. I am patient, and people who are willing to learn will have great success with me. I am interactive in my teachings, and I use many forms that will help get the concept across. I am an academic person and would like to help all people reach their true potential, as well as helping people get through their exams.
