Personal Description:

I am a dedicated second-year Education student at the University of Pretoria, with a passion for languages and history. I dedicated my time and energy to becoming a teacher because I believe that learning should empower learners, not intimidate them. My goal is to help learners not only improve their academic skills, but grow their confidence and discover the joy of learning. I am empathetic, patient, and creative in my teaching approach, and I aim to make every lesson meaningful and engaging. Beyond my current studies, I am also TEFL qualified, and have a certificate in journalistic writing. Becoming a teacher is more than just a career path to me, it is my calling and life's work to inspire, support, and equip young people with the tools they need to succeed.

Tutoring Experience:

Currently studying towards my degree in teaching, but I have completed my first year of practical training, and have been tutoring for the last five years.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that every learner is unique, with different strengths and barriers. Therefore, I design my lessons to match their individual needs. Before we begin, I take time to understand each learner's goals, learning styles, and areas that need improvement. I then spend time preparing personalised study packs, notes, and practice assignments to help them engage with the content that breaks it down to simple steps. I do not spend time re-teaching content, I instead provide structure, resources, and clear explanations that makes learners feel supported during and after our lessons. My goal is to build their confidence, encourage independent learning, and meaningful revision that is enjoyable
