Personal Description:

Hiya!! Welcome!! Just a little background about my self … I am a native Mandarin speaker who is also fluent in English, having lived in New Zealand from the age of 9; I sound just like a Kiwi. I am a qualified Behavior Psychologist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in the field of learning for over 14 years. Although I continue to work in the field of Psychology and mindfulness, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of the Chinese language in a fun, relaxed and effective way. My goal is to build positive connection with people all around the world and contribute to a future where people can speak with more confidence and reciprocate the connection with other Mandarin speakers around the globe.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe learning is done best in a fun and relaxed setting. The brain works best (in an alpha state) when we are not too hard on ourselves, and we take in the new information in a mindful kind of way. This is best achieved when we feel like we are just chatting to a friend. I combine the use of visual and audio meeting via Zoom meetings, so your learning is receptive to both audio and visual input. I can adapt the content of the lesson to what you need in your life (e.g… travel, business, friendship)
