Personal Description:
I am passionate about impacting change through learning and enjoy creating a collaborative learning environment where students and the teacher can interact freely and effective learning can occur. I enjoy meeting new people and engaging in human-interest conversations. I am family-oriented and understand the dynamics of various age groups' behaviours and engagement preferences. I could be fun but also very task-focused.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over 20 years of teaching and tutoring English Language and communication to a wide range of students, including High school students and undergraduates. I have also taught overseas and here in New Zealand.
Tutoring Approach:
I approach tutoring from a needs-based perspective and practice a learner-directive learning environment. I work towards meeting the needs of my learners under a diverse range of conditions such as classroom learning,life application skills learning or examination preparation.
