Personal Description:

¡Hola! I’m Leire, a Spanish teacher from Murcia, Spain. After four wonderful years in Milan—where I taught Spanish at several universities and at the Instituto Cervantes—I am now based in Auckland, New Zealand.

I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (EN/IT > ES) and a Master’s in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I am also a certified DELE examiner for all levels, which allows me to prepare students effectively and confidently for official exams.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with learners of all ages—from young children to adults—and with a wide variety of goals, levels, and learning styles. I’ve collaborated with companies and designed specialized courses on topics such as cinema, conversation, and photography, always adapting my lessons to students’ interests and needs.

I’m genuinely passionate about my native language and about helping students discover how enjoyable, dynamic, and accessible Spanish can be. My experience has given me a deep understanding of what learners need to progress confidently and stay motivated.

Tutoring Experience:

For the past several years, I’ve been teaching Spanish in international environments, helping students from all over the world achieve their goals—whether that’s passing an official exam, improving fluency, or simply feeling more confident when speaking.

In Milan, I taught at universities and at the Instituto Cervantes, working with students of all levels (A1–C2). I’ve also prepared many candidates for the DELE exam, and as a certified examiner, I know exactly what is required to succeed.
