Personal Description:
I am at the moment working in the government sector. However I really love teaching. My two children have told me that I am very good at teaching as I am very patient with them.
Tutoring Experience:
When I was in the Philippines, I was a lecturer in Basic Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the tertiary level for almost 5 years. I have experienced tutoring one student in Year 13 Physics here in Napier. I just taught her twice and she became the best student in Physics in her class. My own daughter was awarded a Certificate of Merit during the lockdown as she had completed all her tasks with high standards. I patiently guided how to do her tasks by explaining, giving examples or ideas. At the moment, with my work in the government, I coached food business operators on how to achieve compliance by educating them.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is simply by asking what is the specific topic. If they have specific examples, we work on that one together then I will give more examples so that it will become clearer to my student. Patience is the key!
