I am an experienced teacher/tutor with a wide subject and assessment knowledge across IB, CIE and NCEA. I value the importance of quality, fun-filled and creative teaching and am here to offer my skills in supporting your learning and academic goals with an emphasis on STEM subjects.
Tutoring Experience:
20+ years teaching experience teaching/tutoring a range of subjects and levels ( Chemistry, Sciences and Math).
15+ years NCEA teaching experience to Senior levels; Chemistry ( Level 1 - 3), Math ( Level 1 -3), Physics ( Level 1-3).
10+ years experience teaching CIE (IGSCE, AS & A Level) and IB Chemistry (SL and HL).
8+ years as a Careers Advisor, offering advise on subject choices pathways into Tertiary Education, Apprenticeships, scholarships.
Tutoring Approach:
Tuitions are predominantly online based and can either be one on one or grouo based. Group tutorials maybe more feasible from a monetary perspective plus students find the interactive sessions among their peers helpful. Tutor sessions will be well planned in advance and delivered using a range of activities and resources to allow for learning. Homework and regular assessments are an integral part of tuition.

From Nikki (/5): I engaged Sach as a tutor for my daughter for Level 2 Physics in March 2020 and she has had weekly tutorials with Sach since. I wanted to wait for a few sessions to be completed prior to providing feedback so it could be more meaningful.
Sach has been an amazing tutor! He makes sure he teaches for understanding. He checks what is already understood by my daughter rather than starting at ground zero and adds to that knowledge thus extending her.
My daughter has never taken Physics previously, and after each session with Sach she has a look of relief on her face saying "I understand!"
Her grades have been excellent since Sach has come on board and I am confident that my daughter will be well prepared for the external exams with Sach's tutorial.
I couldn't ask for a better tutor and highly recommend Sach to any prospective parents.

From Tracey (/5): Fantastic communication and easy to organise a time. My daughter loved her first online maths session. She described it as “amazing”. Sach has a great way of explaining concepts and working at the child’s pace. My daughter said she learned more in one session than she has so far at school this year. As a parent I found online to be so much easier than driving to tutoring and waiting.
From Alex (/5): I contacted Sach about getting some extra help for my son's up-coming Level 3 Physics exam and straight away he was on the ball with a plan in the time we had to bring my son up to play with what he needed to know before going into the exam. My son said he made the lessons interesting and put things across in a way that was easy to understand and was also good at making sure he new 'the what and the why' of what he was doing!
I can't recommend Sach enough, he was excellent, and in the end we got the result we were after!!

From Lesley (/5): Sach was excellent with my son. He gave him confidence in his learning and encouragement that he could do it. After ever session I could feel the progress gained and the feeling of “I get this now”. Sach pushed him and supported him 110% throughout his learning. Excellent tutor.

I needed help for an airforce advanced maths exam coming up, so we worked on that over a period of 2 x 2 hours sessions plus work for me to go on with at home. He is a big part of the reason I passed with flying colours and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone in need of a tutor who knows how to help you understand what it is your missing, in a way you can relate to. My year 11 son came home with a terrible report for maths at the end of term 3 predicting a fail in the IGSCE he was due to sit in week 2 of term 4. After the first session with Sash he said ’I have learnt more today than I have all year at school’. He went into his exams feeling confident and relaxed and we are very hopeful of a pass. Would recommend Sash to anyone and everyone.

From Ciaran (/5): Sach starts coaching our son(year 13) in mid April in Phys. Sach stimulates and inspires our son as he teaches. He asks intelligent questions to promote and ensure understandings, then provide the reinforcements in terms of homeworks between sessions. His teaching manner is gentle, mature and firm, he and our son got on well. Though we are yet to receive any test results/school reports, we have faith that our son will build a strong phys background and will progressively obtain good grades under Sach's coaching and encouragements.
