Personal Description:

My name is Verónica and i am from Canary Islands (Spain). I studied a degree in translation and interpreting at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University. After I finished my studies, I did a master`s degree in Spanish as a second language as teaching my own language has always been my passion. as a professional translator, I come across occasions when I need to simplify and summarize ideas, therefore I have acquired an excellent knowledge of Spanish grammar and Spanish stylistic. Later on, after my master`s, I got the opportunity of getting deeper into the whole teaching experience. I have loved it since.

Tutoring Experience:

2 years teaching Spanish as a foreign language in the Moscow State Linguistic University, at the, Translation, Law, Business and Economy faculties (Moscow, Russian Federation).
6 years teaching Spanish as a foreign language in several schools of languages in Gran Canaria (canary islands, Spain).

Approach to Grinds:

My approach is very simple: it is based on structure (of the Spanish language vs the English language) and awareness. This approach serves best to upper-level learners or adults, even if they have not done a lesson in Spanish before, as they have a better ability to reflect on their own language and how it works (this will be our base). I teach my language as a professional cardplayer would teach you to play poker: first, I will show you the cards and their values, and then how you must use them in the game. Finally, to become a good player, we will have to practice playing! It is something possible to achieve, even if you are a bad cardplayer, like me!
