Information About Ruth - Limerick tutor - (2 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Ruth:
Hi, my name is Ruth and I am a senior Postgraduate Medical student in UL. In 2018 I graduated from Trinity College Dublin, receiving a First Class Honours in Molecular Medicine. I am a very friendly and approachable person, with strong communication skills, who is both organised and reliable. In my spare time I enjoy playing camogie, captaining the TCD camogie team in 2017/18, and I also play piano.
I have previous experience tutoring primary and secondary school students in the above subjects. I have tutored on a voluntary basis for underprivileged students for 3 years, as part of the Voluntary Tuition Programme in TCD. I have given private tuition in Maths and Science subjects. I have worked as a Camp Counsellor for a summer teaching music, drama and dance in Maine USA in an all girls' sleep-away camp. I have experience as a coach and referee for underage GAA teams.
Approach to Grinds:
Having extensively studied science, biology and chemistry at both second and third level, I have a great insight into the depths of these subjects. I also understand the importance of maintaining extra-curricular activities and managing busy schedules whilst studying. Therefore, I aim to provide an individualised approach to students when giving grinds, focusing on their weaker areas, whilst building their confidence in their stronger areas. I believe that understanding topics and studying past papers is far more beneficial than rote learning definitions. I am a patient and kind person, who will adopt a slighting different method of teaching based on each student's needs.
