Personal Description:
Hi there! My name is Rosie and I am from the West of Ireland. I am based in Mayo and offer tuition in person (Mayo only) and also offer grinds online.
I study Applied Language and Translation Studies( French and German) in DCU.
I am enthusiastic about languages and want to share my love for languages with others who want to learn.
I studied French for my Junior and Leaving Cert and received an A2 in my Leaving Cert.
I picked up German in University as a beginner language and I love it!
I also offer grinds for Junior and Leaving certificate Home Economics.
Tutoring Experience:
I have given grinds throughout the years to various people. Whether it be my friends, relatives or Junior/Leaving Certificate students.
I would love to be a language teacher when I finish my degree.
Approach to Grinds:
I firstly like to get to know my students by having an introductory session whereby we discuss what areas of the subject needs to be worked on.
From there, I draw up a learning plan for each of my students so we can review our progress and keep on track.
I usually assign homework after each session so as the student will be working outside of our sessions. Consistent learning is key.
l primarily do online grinds. I am willing to do one-to-one sessions (if based in Mayo).
