Personal Description:

My name is Paula and I am a secondary school teacher with an honours degree in English and New Media from UL and a postgraduate 1st class honours degree in the teaching of English and CSPE from UCC. I am based in Co.Clare. Proof of qualifications and references available on request.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a wide range of experience as a result of teaching all types of students over the last number of years at both Junior and Leaving Certifica**Contact Detail Removed**vel. I have taught students with a range of learning disabilities. I also have experience in primary teaching and one-one tutoring and grind classes.My results and success rates are excellent and testimonials are available on request. I also have experience teaching in a very prestigious grind school. I have corrected the English state exams over the last number of years and have a lot of knowledge about what is required to achieve high results in the state exams. I have taught two hundred and forty Leaving Certificate students in in a private school, where my teaching methodology placed a huge focus on each student achieving their full potential and the best possible results.

Approach to Grinds:

Get a **Contact Detail Removed** of the rest with detailed notes and lots of practise with exam questions and detailed feedback. I will be doing my grinds in person and online. Online notes will be issued via email and homework submitted and corrected through the same medium. Grinds will operate as normal via video link, therefore ensuring they are just as personal as always. I am available for one-one grinds, aswell as group and I am very familiar with the English syllabus and its requirements. I will tailor each grind to meet the student's needs. Comprehensive notes will be provided as well as homework, corrections and a detailed approach to answering exam questions.I can tailor study plans for students and provide them with tests to complete at home or during grind time. I am also available via my phone if any of my grind students have any questions at any time and I am more than happy to help them. As I have corrected the state exams numerous times, I am aware of what is required to obtain good grades.

Notes can be formed on ANY topic on the English syllabus or on the exam layout, marking scheme and tips for approaching the exam.

2. Junior & Leaving cert exam question practise:
Marked by an experienced English teacher and state examiner.

1.Guidelines will be given on each topic before the question is issued, with a major importance placed on the exam layout. Notes will also be provided where necessary.
2 An exam question will be given, with a sample essay accompanying it.
3. The essay will then be corrected and detailed feedback provided.
4. Corrections will also be checked to ensure improvement.
20 euro per Leaving Certificate essay. Submit 3 essays, get one free.
10 euro per Junior Certificate exam answer. Submit 3, get one free.

3.English grinds for students with additional needs:

The grinds are specifically tailored for students with additional learning needs.

I have a vast array of experience, teaching students with learning difficulties.

Classes will be taught accordingly.

Notes will be created and homework issued and detailed feedback given.

All areas of the syllabus can be covered.

Grinds are 40 euro per hour. Grinds booked in bulk, will be subject to a discount.

Grinds are delivered by an experienced English teacher and state examiner.
