Information About Megan - Cork tutor

Personal Description:

My Name is Megan and I am a post-primary school teacher. I teach Home Economics and Religion to Junior Cert and Leaving Cert classes. I am a graduate of St Angela’s College, Sligo. I studied an undergraduate in Home Economics and Religion, and a Masters of Education in Home Economics where I achieved a first class honours degree. I am a caring and dedicated teacher who loves to make a difference in the lives of young people. I am here to help students achieve their full potential, while fostering a love for learning within them.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in 5 different school settings, teaching both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle Home Economics to both male and female students. I have attended other schools to examine the Home Economic practical assessments which I found extremely beneficial in regards the assessment at state examination. I am very up to date with the curriculums and assessments at junior cycle and senior cycle. I have experience in providing one to one tuition in this subject and challenging students to achieve their potential in this subject.

Approach to Grinds:

I believe it is important that students understand the assessment procedures to obtain their potential grade and this is underlined through note taking and sample answers in sessions. I offer one to one sessions from my home in West Cork or Cork City. The option of Online grinds via Zoom is also an option.
