I am the sole graduate in Computational Chemistry from Trininty College Dublin in 2020 with a 2:1. I have studied Physics and Mathematics for 2 years as a part of this course. It is the ideal blend of the 3, where I am comfortable teaching all 3. For my Alevels I obtained A*ABB in Further Mathematics (1st year uni maths), Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science
I have taught in a secondary school for 6 months teaching programming and throughout university I consistently guided students in the years below, helping them with the difficult concepts that Computational chemistry contains.
Approach to Grinds:
I don't believe in rote learning. Understanding the underlining principles is what is most important for a student. This gives the student the confidence to tackle any problem that arises in an exam.
I would be working of the past paper exams and textbooks, where tackling the problems will provide the questions that will lead the most amount of understanding, it may take longer than the question requires, but this is will be key in understanding the principles.
I am patience, kind and understand that concepts can be very intimidating initially although with practice I have no doubt every student can achieve their potential.
