Information About Mannraj - Bray tutor

Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Mannraj. I'm currently in my first year in University College Dublin studying engineering. I completed my Leaving Certificate in 2019, receiving a H1 in in mathematics and a H2 in Chemistry. I love maths and how it can be applied to sciences and in everyday life, this is how my love for engineering was born. I aim to take up Chemical Engineering in the future, as chemistry as a topic greatly interests me.

Tutoring Experience:

I have an extensive experience of the Leaving Cert Course, having just cleared it in 2019. I'm well versed in concepts and methods involved in getting the Leaving Cert right.
I enjoyed teaching my peers, as Maths and Chemistry are my strengths and found this an enjoyable experience as it helped me revise for my course as well.

I have a good understanding of the marking schemes and can advise the students on the right way to approach the Leaving Cert Exams.

Approach to Grinds:

I personally believe in pair up learning. Learning together in groups of two, working with each other and solving each others doubts is a great way to educate oneself.
I will ask the students' preference about the subject concerned, whether he/she wants to focus on a particular topic they're having trouble coping with, or would want to proceed in an orderly manner, covering every aspect of the subject.
I believe in interactive teaching- using and working through plenty of examples for every step of the topic.
I understand that students have different ways of learning, and will strive to adapt to each student and tailor my explanations as such.
