Information About Katie - Rathdowney tutor

Personal Description:

I am a primary school teacher from County Laois living close to the Tipperary and Kilkenny border. I am available for grinds in Maths, English and Gaeilge or for homework aid in any primary school grade.
I enjoy finding new opportunities for learning and engage in many courses to find inspiration to guide children in their learning and to make acquisition of knowledge and learning tricks easy and enjoyable for children.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a primary school teacher, having taught in both learning support and mainstream roles for the past 6 years. I have taught mainly in the upper end of primary school, with 3 years in 4th class and entering my second year in 6th class.

Approach to Grinds:

Grinds for primary school children need to be fun yet effective, and so the use of fun learning strategies such as mnemonics, concrete materials, songs & rhymes etc are what I incorporate into my teaching to make it as effective and enjoyable as possible.
