Personal Description:

Hello, I'm a former engineer. I attained a BA (Hons) degree in Chemical Engineering from CIT in 2010 achieving a higher second class honours degree, a result that put my 4th in my class of about 30, after which I studied for a masters degree in Sustainable Energy engineering in UCC, again achieving higher second second class honours. After that I worked in the field for two years working in automation and validation engineering.
I then realized I wanted to change career in order to following my real interest in psychology and philosophy, I am currently in the process of attaining a masters degree in philosophy.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been giving grinds for over 5 years. In addition to this, for the past two years I have been delivering over 5 hours of tutorials per week to undergraduate Art's students at the University I attend (UCC) as part of my Post graduate research and teaching obligations (Phd research).

I have also delivered half of a second year module to second year philosophy students two years in a row.

Approach to Grinds:

The way I teach is very simple, practice, practice, practice. When it come to subjects like maths it is only through doing many different kinds of questions that a student can gain an appreciation for the different mathematical moves and algebraic manipulations that are common to all. If the student already has a solid foundation in numeracy and arithmetic then this will be accomplished all the more easier.

Any difficulties the student has will be focused on in great detail, and gone over as many times as is necessary for them to no longer present a difficulty.
