Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic mathematicss tutor, with a 2nd Class B.Sc in Mathematics from London Metropolitan University, who has 10 years experience tutoring mathematics students of varying abilities.I have worked mainly in the Greater London area, helping students improve their national curriculum levels. My maim focus has been A-Level mathematics, focusing on Core Mathematics C1 - C4, as well as Mechanics M1 and Statistics S1 and S2.I have a natural ability to simplify methods for students to easily grasp and I have personally tutored my son, who attained a B-Grade in A-Level mathematics; He has since progressed to a attain a Business and Accounting Degree from the University of Hertfordshire.Mathematics is a passion for me and i find it truly rewarding (as all tutors or teachers do) to see students improve their curriculum level and progress on to greater things in life.We as tutors help shape the future of potential leaders and innovators of the Nation.

Tutoring Experience:

I have done 4 years of Supply Teaching in the London Area, and most of these posts were long term supply. My ambition at the time was to do supply teaching and focus on doing an M.Sc in Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Modelling at Brunel University, which i haven't completed due to various constraints encountered at the time.Still, I found the teaching experience educational and enjoyable and will consider doing a P.G.C.E in the near future.I have recently moved to The Republic Of Ireland, and would like to continue doing what i do feel i do best here.

Approach to Grinds:

Best Approach is to find out what the student finds difficult, have an understanding of their N.C. Level and work with them grasping to the basic concepts of the topic, enabling them to approach problems with confidence having the appropriate tools to analyse the problem. Key wording is essential so that topics such as probability or arithmetic/geometric progression for example can be solved with out a fear approach,as i find students get put off when they don't understand worded problems.
